Private Investigation firms generally fall into two categories:
Full Service Firms
These PI firms offer you a wide range of services under their umbrella. They may have skilled investigators as employees or ‘associates’ that they can draw on to ensure that they meet your requirements. The ‘associates’ are generally other PI firms with the necessary expertise to meet special investigation requirements.
Specialty firms focus on a few core services. This allows them to build a reputation focused on their expertise. Developing expertise in specialized areas is costly and requires significant resources.
Advantages of Each Model
There are different advantages to using either full service or specialty firms. You should have a discussion with the firm about the advantages their model brings to you.
